Tiki Overview

The Tiki style was introduced in America in 1934 by Don Beach, owner of Polynesian themed restaurant in Hollywood. New Asian states accompanied with experiences and stories of soldiers returned from WW II about South Pacific and symbol of strongly procreative act, Tiki became a new culture in USA at that time. It was an ultimate inspiration for Hollywood films, jazz music, and architecture.

Tiki exotica were introduced with Martin Denny's Waikiki nightclub in the late 1950s and early 1960s. When Hawaii as the 50th state in 1959 (increasing of Tiki hut cocktail bars and restaurants), Tiki was spread all US continent.

“Nothing lasts forever”, human gets sick of eating the same food for every day. There is always a need to a variety of delicious meals. When the time comes, mankind miss their old food, Tiki will be reused.


Styles that have ‘come and gone’, for example: Cowboy styles (it is very dangerous to dress as a cowboy guy after watching ‘Brokeback mountain’); Disco styles (players will be beaten to death if they dance in disco in my La Mort nightclub)
